Trip Overview

An Africa safari shaped around the wild.

Jambo! Welcome to Tanzania!

Our team will meet you upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be driven to your hotel, which provides all the amenities necessary for your comfort: pleasant rooms with hot showers, swimming pool, restaurant and access to the internet.

Once you have settled in, your lead guide will conduct a detailed pre-trek briefing, followed by a thorough equipment check to make sure you are completely prepared and ready for your Kilimanjaro adventure.

Journey time and Distance: 1 hour, 40 km from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Moshi and 1 hour 10 minutes, 50 km from Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha.

Summary

Route: Marangu Route ("Coca-Cola Route")
Duration: 5 Days / 4 Nights
Starting Point: Marangu Gate (1,870 m)
Highest Point: Uhuru Peak (5,895 m)
Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging
Accommodation: Mountain Huts (Dormitory Style)
Best Time: January–March and June–October

OVERVIEW

The Marangu Route is the oldest and most established route on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the only route offering hut accommodation instead of camping, making it a popular choice for trekkers seeking more comfort. The trek follows the same route up and down the mountain.

Although completed in just five days, this itinerary allows less time for acclimatization, making it more physically demanding due to the rapid ascent.
